A vintage black & chrome multiband receiver, the Worldstar MG-5000A runs on AC or battery power and features dual telescopic antennas. A lid folds up to reveal the controls, pushbuttons, tuning scale, international time wheel, and world map.
This multi-band portable radio receives FM, AM, shortwave, aircraft, weather, CB, police, and TV sound bands. The television audio reception is analog-only and no longer works in some areas, but all of the other bands remain useful.
There are input, antenna, and earphone jacks (1/8") on the Worldstar MG-5000A. It is UL-listed and consumes a maximum of seven watts electricity. The radio came with an "Operating Instruction and Owner's Guide". It was manufactured in Hong Kong.
