The 2024SP is an older pocket radio that receives the AM and FM bands. Features include a hand strap, a telescopic antenna, an earphone jack (only accepts antique earphones), and a built-in speaker. It runs on a standard 9-volt (6F22) battery.
This handheld Windsor radio came with an earphone and instructions. It has a round tuning dial and a band switch on the front of the radio. The volume control is on the left side; there is a volume level indicator on the radio's front panel.
The built-in speaker provides sound of acceptable quality. Reception on the FM band is only fair, and AM is slightly better. The 2024SP performs considerably better on a new or almost new 9V battery than it does on a weaker battery.
It measures almost 5.5 inches long, about 2.6" wide, and 1.25" thick. The antenna is 15.25" long. The battery compartment is small and the battery fits rather tightly. There is an Emerson radio model that appears exactly the same.
