This is an older multi-band radio which can receive the FM, AM, CB (Citizens Band), shortwave (international), and VHF (aircraft/police communications, weather) bands. The Westminster 1425 runs on AC or battery power.
Other features of this radio include a carrying handle and a large tuning knob. There is a built-in world time calculator wheel and a world map. This allows the listener to easily find the current time in another country.
The Westminster 1425 is dark-colored, with some chrome. It isn't particularly rare, but less common than some of the other 1970s and '80s shortwave/multiband radios.
