A square-shaped "FM/AM/SW1/SW2 World Band Receiver", the Tecsun Green-88 is a shortwave radio which also offers a built-in flashlight. It features a dynamo crank, a carrying handle, and a telescoping antenna. It has a rugged, serious-looking style.
The Tecsun Green-88 has some controls on the front, the rest on the sides along with the dynamo crank. Some of the switches may be labeled in English or Chinese, depending upon the individual unit. The analog tuning scale has black text on a white background.
Frequency coverage includes the regular AM and FM bands, plus much of the shortwave range. The SW1/SW2 bands cover 3.2-7.6 and 9.4-22 MHz. These frequencies include stations in countries such as Canada, Croatia, Cuba, India, Kuwait, Romania, and Vietnam.
