The TRS-80 PC-3 is a very small programmable computer that will actually fit in a pocket. It looks like a rather wide calculator. The computer's highly portable design makes it useful for conducting complex calculations or analysis while working away from the home or office. Whereas most PDAs and electronic organizers have a fixed set of built-in programs, people can enter (or load from cassette) their own programs into handheld computers such as this. Tandy produced a number of commercial software products for this machine. Its memory capacity is minimal, so it's important to enter any programs very efficiently, avoiding any unnecessary or redundant statements. This pocket computer can be used for scientific calculations, programming experiments, simple games, receipt printing, and more. Old Tandy software for the TRS-80 PC-3 includes "Aviation", "Banners", "Business Finance", "Math Drill", "Golf Handicapping", "Games", "Horse Race Analyst", "Surveying", and others. Be sure to use the PC-1/3 version of such programs, not the PC-2 version.
