This is a 5.25 inch disk drive for use with some older Tandy computers. It reads 360K disks (0.36MB; most common size used in mid/late '80s) and features a metal exterior. An ad in the March, 1995 "Computer News PC" issue offered 90-2084 drives for $45 USD and indicated that they could be used with the model 1400FD/HD/LT laptops (probably manufactured 1988-1990). It also stated that it was possible to modify the 90-2084 for use with a TRS-80 model I, III, IV, 4P, or 4D (from the 1980s). The 1400 laptops were PC-compatible and ran the DOS operating system. It is difficult to find any other references to this floppy drive; there probably weren't a great number of them sold.
