The Tandy 26-203 is a high-end five outlet surge protector and power control device which allows five electronic devices to be switched on and off independently. The '88 "Tandy Computer Catalog and Software Reference Guide" listed this unit for $79 USD; it appeared in the '92 Radio Shack catalog for $99 USD. It was marketed for use with computers; users can place it on top of the CPU and beneath the monitor. It is not clear how many years this model continued to be sold. The catalog listing states that it is UL-listed, offers "3-way spike protection and filtration", and is rated at 15 amps. It received a PC Magazine "Editor's Choice Award" and a positive review in ST-Log magazine. In addition to computer equipment, the 26-203 can be used to control and protect electronics such as television sets and stereo receivers.
