The SC-1099 is a mostly black/silver-colored compact multiband receiver with a 7-section telescoping antenna, a digital display, and a built-in speaker. Its controls are on the front, side, and top.
The digital display has a backlight and it can display the current radio frequency or the time. It also offers an alarm function. The Supersonic SC1099 receives FM, AM, and shortwave bands.
According to the manufacturer, it runs on two AA batteries and has a headphone jack. The Supersonic SC1099 tunes a total of nine different bands; seven of them are portions of the shortwave range.
