The model 1130 "AM Pocket Radio" is a vintage handheld portable that only receives the AM band. The Soundesign 1130 is mostly black and silver colored, with a black hand strap.
There are tuning and volume control wheels on the sides of the radio. A tuning window on the front panel shows the approximate kHz frequency the receiver is tuned to.
This compact radio is battery-operated and features a built-in speaker. It came in a black, white, and blue cardboard box with instructions. The Soundesign 1130 was manufactured in Hong Kong.
It may be used to listen to news programs, '60s music, talk shows, stock market coverage, traffic reports, highway advisories, and anything else they broadcast on AM radio.
