A handheld portable television, the Sony Watchman FDL-220R offers such features as an earphone jack, brightness control, built-in speaker, and AM/FM radio. It is silver and black colored, with curved styling and a square screen. The screen measures two and one-fifth inches (about 5.6 cm) and provides a color picture.
This television receives FM 88-108 MHz, AM 530-1600 kHz, and analog TV channels 2-69. Because it cannot tune digital broadcasts, the Sony Watchman FDL-220R cannot pick up TV stations in much of the U.S. or several other countries. As of 2010, its AM/FM radio does not face any problems of this type.
