A "Sports" edition headphone radio receiver, the Sony Walkman SRF-HM55 is one of the more valuable radios of this type. It boasts ten station presets and "PLL synthesized" digital tuning.
The SRF-HM55 receives AM and FM radio. It has a DX/Local sensitivity control for the FM band. Apparently there are five presets for each band. It has a small LCD screen on one side.
This Sony Walkman model is yellow, black, and grey. Unlike most headphone radios, it sports a rod antenna and two headbands; apparently one can go over the head and one around the back.
TIP: Remember to take batteries out to prevent corrosion.
