A portable world-band radio, the Sony ICF-F11S features a telescopic antenna, coverage of three bands, a speaker, and a vertical tuning scale. There are tuning and volume knobs on the front panel.
According to Sony-Asia.com, the ICF-F11S covers 2,300-7,350 kHz (shortwave) and runs on two "D" batteries. It also receives the standard 88-108 MHz FM band and 530-1600 kHz AM/MW (doesn't cover the expanded 1610-1710 kHz range).
Countries with stations in the above-mentioned SW frequency range include Canada, China, Cuba, Russia, Vietnam, and the U.S.A. Some European stations may also be received.
