The ICF-7600 is an older portable analog radio receiver that tunes shortwave, AM (MW), and FM bands. It features a tone control, a wrist strap, and a world time zone map (on the back panel).
The Sony ICF7600 tunes AM/MW 530-1605 kHz and FM 76-108 MHz, which covers the Japanese and North American FM bands. Shortwave coverage is split into five bands. The tuning scale runs vertically up and down the front of the radio.
It tunes 3.9-4, 5.95-6.2, 9.5-9.8, 11.7-12, and 15.1-15.5 MHz. The 5.95-6.2 and 11.7-12 MHz ranges are probably the most useful. Total SW coverage is only 1.35 MHz, which is minimal but sufficient to hear a variety of broadcasts.
The Sony ICF-7600 is relatively simple to use. The three-position tone control may be set to high, low, or "news". The radio will run on four "AA" batteries or a DC power adapter.
