1. Many universal adapters and indoor cigarette lighter adapters will not power the Sirius SIR-SV1B. One universal AC adaptor which can supply adequate voltage and amperage is the Dynex DX-AC1200, when set to 12 volts.
2. You can often obtain the necessary satellite reception by simply placing the Sirius antenna on a window sill. Move it around slightly until it receives a signal. Try placing it next to a different window if this doesn't work.
3. During indoor use, you can output the Sirius radio's sound using headphones or amplified speakers. It may be necessary to adjust the radio's audio level to eliminate distortion; you will have to use its remote and the menu.
