Review: SG FM/MW/SW1/SW2 4 Band Receiver

This radio has an "SG" logo on the front and is labeled "Survival-Gear.com" as well. It is quite small and bright yellow (except for a black portion). There is a built-in speaker which produces better sound than I would normally expect from a radio of its size, and an earphone jack. It receives four bands - MW (same as AM), FM, and two shortwave bands (SW1/SW2). It covers a large portion of the shortwave range, including 6-12MHz and 12-18MHz.

As for reception, the MW (AM) reception is poor, but FM and shortwave reception are good for a radio of this size. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a fine tuning control, which is a problem with many smaller radios. There is a short telescoping antenna. It is very light, has a belt clip, and runs on only 2 "AA" batteries, so it is the most portable and inexpensive shortwave radio I have used.
