The Sears model number 564.22790100 is an older portable shortwave receiver which also covers the AM and FM bands. Features of the Com/Trek IV include a telescopic antenna, dial light, carrying handle, tuning indicator, and battery tester.

Frequency coverage includes much of the shortwave range, split into two bands: 2-6 MHz and 6-18 MHz. The radio also tunes 88-108 MHz FM and 550-1600 kHz AM. The tuning scale includes markings of the different meter bands (120m, 90m, 75m, and so on). It runs on batteries or the built-in AC power cord (eight watts maximum).
