This Sangean is a compact, portable shortwave radio receiver which features a telescoping antenna, a wrist strap, a built-in speaker, and stereo headphone output. The MS-103 covers the MW (AM), FM, and ten shortwave bands, for a total of twelve radio bands.
Some controls are on the front, others on the side. The Sangean MS-103 has a square tuning scale with vertical movement. The unit is mostly black. It only needs two "AA" batteries, which is less than many shortwave portables require. It was made in Taiwan.
According to specifications on the back panel, the Sangean MS-103 covers 87.5-108 MHz FM, 522-1620 kHz MW, and the following shortwave frequencies: 2.3-5.2, 5.85-6.2, 7.05-7.45, 9.45-9.9, 11.6-12.1, 13.55-13.85, 15.1-15.6, 17.45-17.9, 21.45-21.85, 25.67-26.1 MHz.
