The Radio Shack 12-260 "Bedside Weatheradio Alarm Clock" is a digital clock radio which receives all seven NOAA weather band channels. It can sound an alarm when an official weather alert is released.
It also features a snooze button, a telescoping antenna (folds down on the back), a signal strength indicator, and a backlit LCD screen. It does not have an S.A.M.E. (specific-area) alert function like model 12-261. The radio's exterior is mostly light gray.
Radio Shack's website indicates that the 12-260 uses an AC "6V 300mA" adapter; it can also run on 4 "AA" batteries for backup power. It doesn't have an AC cord built-in like some weather radios do. The 12-260 is more complex to set up and operate than an analog weather receiver, but simpler than most units with S.A.M.E.
