An old multi-band receiver, the Ross 2311 features a world time zone map, a tone control, a dial light, and a battery charging feature. It runs on four "D" batteries or AC electrical power.
The Ross 2311 offers a very wide range of frequency coverage, including two VHF bands, four shortwave bands, the weather band, the marine communications band, longwave, AM, and FM.
It covers more bands than most other shortwave and multiband radios. A fairly large speaker is positioned on the front of the radio, along with most of its controls, including volume and tuning.
Examples of what the Ross 2311 can receive: music, news, local and regional communications, international broadcasts, weather forecasts, amateur radio, police, time stations.
