This is a large, vintage desktop base station CB. It offers analog tuning, a built-in AC power cord, a squelch control, and more. The Regency CR-142 also has a Public Address function.
On this front of this unit, there's a microphone jack, a meter, a speaker, and several knobs. The back panel has antenna and power connections, along with a removable fuse.
One could possibly operate this base CB in a large automobile or boat, but it looks to be primarily designed for use inside a building. It has large rubber "feet" on the bottom.
