The MTA-15, model number 12-695, is a table radio that features a wood housing, a fairly large built-in speaker, an AC power cord, and analog AM/FM tuning. It uses internal and wire antennas, rather than a telescopic antenna. It is one of the newest radios of this type.

Realistic conveniently located the tuning scale and the controls for tuning, volume, tone, and band on the front panel. According to the Radio Shack (Realistic's parent company) web site, an external FM antenna may be connected to the receiver.

The Realistic MTA-16 is similar but harder to find.
