This is a compact, black portable shortwave radio with few extra features. The DX350 has a telescopic antenna but lacks a built-in power cord. The radio is tuned using a tuning knob and scale.
According to the manufacturer, the Realistic DX-350 covers twelve bands, including regular AM (also known as mediumwave), FM, LW, and nine non-contiguous portions of international shortwave.
The DX-350 may be operated with four "AA" batteries or AC/DC power (using adapters like Radio Shack catalog item 273-1454 or 14-844). Be careful not to let alkaline batteries corrode.
