A compact, rectangle-shaped device, this tapedeck's model name appears to stand for Cassette Tape Recorder. The Realistic CTR-85 is an older model that uses standard size cassettes.
One extra feature of this portable tape recorder is "voice actuation", which is helpful for conserving tape while recording conversations, interviews, speeches, and so on.
The recorder's exterior is black, for the most part. It has a carrying strap. When it was new, the Realistic CTR-85 came in a mostly blue box, with an instruction manual.
Tip: Test and experiment with the voice actuation feature before using it for something important.
