These are two models of the Realistic Weatheradio Cube, a small cube-shaped weather band receiver (24-hour forecasts, information). They have late 1970s / early 1980s styling, with woodgrain sides.
The Realistic 12-181B and 12-181 feature a speaker and telescoping antenna. A large button easily turns the radio on and off, without the need to adjust the volume each time (as with some radios).
These two models were sold at Radio Shack stores in the past, and remain not very hard to find. A more recent version of the Weatheradio Cube was sold under the Radio Shack brand name.
