The 238 is a handheld CB radio which covers all 40 channels and boasts a five-watt (maximum legal power) transmitter. The Radio Shack TRC-238 is also resistant to water and has digital tuning.
This portable CB is a "Sports" version with a mostly yellow exterior, along with some gray coloration and a black antenna. The Radio Shack TRC-238's antenna is removable, allowing for easy replacement.
RadioShack apparently began making the 238 during the late 1990s. Overall, this CB model seems a good choice for communications while hiking, boating, camping, or working outdoors.
