The RadioShack 23-149A Hi-Capacity Nickel-Cadmium Rechargeable Battery is a 1,000 mAh "AA" cell which can be recharged in a charger designed for charging Ni-Cad/Ni-Cd type batteries. The 1,000 mAh capacity of this battery means that it can hold more energy than some types of "AA" rechargeables, such as those with 500, 600, or 700 milliamp capacities. Ni-Cd batteries included with other products often have lower capacities. The appropriate charging time will vary depending upon the charger being used. The instructions for the Bentley B-15 indicate that an "AA" should be charged two to four hours (probably four hours for the 23-149A, because of its high capacity). These Radio Shack batteries have performed reliably so far, and they adequately replaced alkaline units in most instances. They work far better than Wintonic rechargeables, which easily fail or corrode. NOTES: Produces 1.2 volts, like other rechargeables. Made in China.
