The instructions indicate that DentaTreat may be sprinkled on pet food, "fed directly", or put on the pet's teeth. When given to a cat with canned food, he usually ate it, and sometimes would eat food with it that he wouldn't eat otherwise. ActiPet Urinary Tract Formula with Cranberry Extract This dark-colored powder is available in a 67.5g container for just under $15 USD. It can be found at some health food stores. The dosage varies depending upon the pet's weight, and it may be given to cats or dogs. According to the container, it will "support your pet's urinary tract health". It should help prevent the pet from having urinary tract infections. The formula can be mixed into canned cat or dog food with a spoon. When given to a cat who had been to the veterinarian twice in previous years (at a cost of over $150) for urinary tract problems, it appeared to help cure his present mild infection fairly rapidly. The formula also contains vitamins B-6, B-12, and C, which offer various benefits. Although it may not be adequate for treating more serious existing urinary tract infections, this product is well worth its cost to prevent such infections from happening. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
