This tape recorder has a built-in microphone and runs on DC, AC, or battery power. The Optimus CTR-108 also features a microphone jack, a built-in speaker, and a pause button. It was sold with a few extras, including a detachable AC power cord.
The Optimus CTR-108 has a rounded rectangle shape. According to the manufacturer, its tape speed is 4.75 centimeters per second and its ratio of signal to noise is forty dB. This model is also known as catalog number 14-1115. When operating on batteries, this recorder uses four "C" cells.
