This all-in-one device has been sold under at least two brand names, including Dorcy and Five Star. It is a fairly large unit with a flashlight, small black & white analog TV (five inch), a radio, a lantern, and a siren.

The radio tunes AM and FM broadcasts. The entire unit can be powered using DC or AC adapters, or "C" batteries. The MultiMedia Travel and Safety System's numerous features can be useful for camping and boating, as well as emergencies.

Although they come in similar boxes and perform the same major functions, the two different versions of this unit have some differences. The Dorcy version is yellow, whereas the Five Star is black and silver-colored.

The Five Star version of the Multi Media Travel and Safety System also has a few more features, like weather band reception, a thermometer, and a compass. It has a sleeker appearance, whereas the Dorcy's coloration is more visible.
