Model-Specific Computer Mouse Details
Here are some specifications and other details on a few different models of computer mice...

Tech Solutions IOWCM-290F: Light-colored serial mouse with 3 buttons. PC/MS switch on the bottom; change this if it won't work or isn't detected. Came with 3.5" driver disk for Windows 9x/3.1x/NT and DOS. Made in China.

Micro Innovations PS/2 Mouse: Basic light-colored, Chinese-made two button unit with no scroll wheel. Curved shape, Dark blue logo.

Compaq MO42KC: The M042KC (a.k.a. part number 5187-1786) is a black PS/2 mouse with a gray scroll wheel. It draws five volts of power through the PS2 cord, at 25 milliamps. This unit was also made in China.

General Electric 98194: The GE 98194 is a standard PS/2 mouse with two regular buttons and a scroll wheel. A label on the bottom of it reads "Tested To Comply With FCC Standards" and "For Home or Office Use".

Logitech M-S48A: Beige PS/2 mouse with a gray scroll wheel. As is typical for these mice, it uses 5V power at 25mA, provided through the PS2 cable. It appears to have a fairly high resolution level.

All of these mice can be used with most non-Apple computers, although a small adapter will be necessary in some situations.
