These two very similar Maxim models are low-end compact black plastic cameras which use 35mm film. They feature an aperture control, a removable lens cap, and a large viewfinder positioned in the middle-top area of the camera.
There is no built-in flash, but a flash unit may be connected. The user can also attach a neck strap. Aside from different designs on the boxes they came in, it's not obviously clear what the difference is between the Maxim MF-101X and the MF-101.
Similar units have been sold under such brands as Lavec and Akira.
