The MAG510V2 is a color CRT computer monitor that measures almost 14 inches diagonally (35 cm). It is VGA compatible and appears to have an anti-glare screen. An adjustable stand can be attached to the bottom. It uses a three-prong removable power cord and a standard VGA cable that cannot be removed. There is a power button on the front, as well as several controls for adjusting the video. The brightness/contrast controls are analog knobs, the others use buttons. Although this Mag Innovision monitor can display higher (and lower) resolutions, it looks best at 640x480 pixels, especially if the refresh rate is properly optimized. It is fine for many different operating systems, including DOS, Windows 95, and Windows XP. The Mag Innovision NA0503-01 has continued to perform reliably for several years of regular use. The only minor problem is that the power button has started to wear out; it's best to turn it on/off with a power strip. The unit used for this review was manufactured March '97. NOTES: Generally uses about 38-52 watts at 640x480, low brightness. Darker on-screen colors use less power. Uses 40W if left on w\ computer off. 800x600 adds 3W. Made in Indonesia. FCC ID is IAWNA0503.
