A "De-Luxe" multi-zone/multiband solid state receiver, this Longines Symphonette boasts nine bands of reception and a flip-up world time wheel & map. It is an older, inexpensive unit.
There's also a carrying handle on top. The radio has tuning, fine tuning, volume, tone, and squelch controls. Most are on the front, though the band knob is on the side.
It receives weather, police, marine, and shortwave bands, among others. They cover 540-1600 kHz (AM), 1.5-12 MHz (SW), 30-50 MHz (VHF), and 88-173 MHz (VHF/FM). The tuning scale is somewhat narrow for a radio of this type.
The Longines Symphonette Deluxe Multi-Zone receiver runs on battery or AC power. It has antenna and earphone jacks on one side as well. To learn more, visit the Multiband Radio Message Board.
