An old tube-based three band receiver, the Lloyds TM-999 runs on AC power and features "High Fidelity" folding hinged speakers. It has indicator lights which show the current band.
The Lloyd's TM-999 tunes the following approximate frequencies: 88-108 MHz (FM), 540-1600 kHz (AM), and 3.5-9 MHz (SW). Four knobs on the front control volume, tone, band, and tuning.
This vintage (antique?) unit was made in Japan. It has two speaker jacks on the back panel. Wire antennas are used to improve reception, along with an internal ferrite rod antenna.
Note: The most shortwave broadcasts tend to be around 6-8 MHz.
