AlltheWeb offers web, news, and image searches in a fast, uncluttered design. It supplies nearly the same results as Yahoo! but much more quickly. There are also advanced search and offensive content filter tools. AlltheWeb is compatible with IE, Netscape, and Opera browsers.

LessWaiting.com Search is a text-based engine which lets searchers select a background color of their choice and optionally restrict searches to a specific domain name type (gov, edu, etc). The lack of "cookies" makes it even more fast. There is also a Mobile version.

AltaVista Text-Only AltaVista is a fairly fast search engine to begin with, but their text-only option is especially quick. It displays ten results per page, with no images. The only advertisements appear as a list of text-based sponsored results at the top and bottom of pages.

Other fast engines include Google, Search.com, Gigablast, and Info.com.
