This inexpensive calculator from Greenbrier International is available at some dollar stores for $1 USD. It comes in a cardboard/plastic package with instructions on the back.
The Large Display Desktop Calculator has a built-in battery as well as a small solar panel. The LCD screen can tilt for the best viewing angle. It has large buttons and an easy-to-read screen.
Extra features include memory, a +/- button, a percentage button, square root, and CE. It can show up to eight digits at a time (not ten like some higher-priced calculators).
It has a mostly black exterior, with grey buttons. Some of them have light orange CE and ON/C buttons. The calculator tested well and we discovered that it also has an auto-shutoff function.
