This "FM-Stereo/MW/SW Receiver-MP3 Player" tunes multiple radio bands, offers a digital clock/alarm/sleep-timer, and features a USB port for the connection of MP3 storage devices. The Kestrel W618 also has a built-in speaker and a telescoping antenna.
In addition to showing the time, the digital display can provide the current frequency and shortwave meter band. For easier viewing when there is minimal light, the Kestrel W618 has a backlight with a convenient on/off switch on the front panel.
There is a tuning knob on the side of the radio. The volume is adjusted using the VOL +/- buttons on the front. There are jacks for DC power, antenna, and earphone. When stereo headphones are used with this radio, FM sound output is in stereo.
The Kestrel W618 receives international shortwave bands, the FM band, and MW/AM.
