About: Iomega Z100S2 Zip Drive

The Iomega Z100S2 is an external Zip drive which connects to the computer with a cable. The computer must have a SCSI port; do not confuse this with a parallel port, which appears quite similar but is not the same.

The Z100S2 accepts standard 100mb Zip disks. It requires an external power supply/adapter to be connected. It consumes five volts of power at one amp. The drive's design allows it to be positioned either horizontally or vertically.

This Iomega Zip drive has two SCSI ports on the back, along with two SCSI configuration switches. It is dark blue and looks much the same as equivalent parallel port drives. The P/N is 02644B00, and the FCC ID is DDXZ100S2.

The unit has a couple of diagrams (one is removable) on the top and bottom, illustrating how to use and set it up. It also features six rubber feet, two indicator lights, and a window for looking through at the inserted disk.
