LessWaiting.com Information Main Menu The joystick controller is very similar in look and feel to the original Atari 2600 joystick it is based on, although playing "Pong" and "Breakout" with a joystick (rather than the old Atari "paddle" controllers) is somewhat different. After selecting a game, a screen full of text appears, including an introduction and instructions on how to play it. The Jakks Pacific TV Games video game system also features reset, select, and start buttons, a power indicator light, and built-in audio/video cords. It is powered by four "AA" batteries; a phillips-head screw has to be removed before they can be replaced. It provides audio and video to the television through RCA jacks - an RF modulator may be necessary for connecting it to some older television sets. The games are very similar to their old Atari 2600 cartridge equivalents, although there are some minor differences in appearance, and two-player usage is not possible. Overall, it is an affordable and easily portable unit which fits everything you need to play video games on a television in a rather compact unit. |
