Details on 1980s Cameras
Most cameras which were manufactured and sold during the 1980s used 35mm film. Film cameras were made by a greater variety of brand names in the '80s than they are at present. Long, thin units which used "110" cartridges were also more common during the 1980s, along with portable "Super 8" movie film recorders and a wide variety of semi-SLR models. Although computers became very popular in the '80s, digital camera systems were not available for purchase until the early/mid-1990s.
