For power, it uses a built-in AC cord, an optional DC cigarette lighter cord, or several batteries. Overall, it has many useful features and is a good unit for listening to a variety of broadcasts and communications. The MG6000 can usually be purchased for about $30-50 on eBay, including S/H costs.
