It is capable of taking photographs of rather good quality, and is quite rugged (can sometimes even withstand having a tree branch fall on it). It is possible to attach at least two different accessory lenses to it, although these may be somewhat hard to find. It is capable of lasting many years, especially if it is handled carefully.
