Tandy 1000 EX Computer
The Tandy 1000 EX has an 8088 processor, 360K 5.25" disk drive, and the capability to attach an external 720K 3.5" drive, among other accessories. Unlike the 1000 HX, it requires the operating system to be loaded from a disk (it does not have DOS in ROM). It is IBM-compatible, but has a special graphics mode (16-color TGA) which a large amount of software produced in the '80s and '90s could support.

It can also run programs designed for CGA or monochrome graphics. Other features include a plastic cover which can easily be removed to add expansion cards, and Tandy 3-voice sound (with a built-in speaker and volume control). It is compact and has very low power consumption. A television with RCA jacks, a TV with an RF modulator, a composite monitor, or a CGA-compatible monitor can be used for video display.

CONVENTIONAL MEMORY: 256K (Upgradeable To 640K)

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES: Internal or external modem, memory expansion card, external disk drives, joysticks (has built-in joystick port), headphones (built-in jack), serial port card (allows connection of mouse and other accessories), printer.
