*Ease of use takes into account portability, complexity, prevention of accidents (lens cover, shutter lock), battery requirements, quality of instructions, and how well-designed the controls are. Expandability refers to how possible it is to add accessories (flash unit, strap, timer, tripod, shutter release, etc). Ten out of ten is the best rating possible in each category. Most of the cameras were tested using ISO-400 Kodak film; ISO-200 was used to test the Meikai.
