The 4863 is a color CRT screen designed for use with the IBM PCjr computer, which was sold during the early-mid 1980s. Unlike many monitors, it contains a speaker. The '94 PC Enterprises catalog states that this monitor measures 13 1/4 inches, supports resolutions up to 640x200, and is equipped to display eighty-column text. The same catalog offered adapters that could convert the 4863's 18-pin plug to a standard CGA 9-pin plug, for use with other PC compatibles. COMPATIBILITY: PCjr 16-color, CGA 4C (with adapter), TGA 16C (w\ adapter), EGA up to 640x200 (w\ adapter).
