The TR2PE is a small AM/FM/shortwave receiver with analog tuning and a sophisticated world clock. It is silver-colored and has a good appearance.

An advertisement in the 2000 "Passport to World Band Radio" shows that the Traveller II covers five SW bands and runs on three "AA" batteries. The receiver offers an earphone jack, a built-in speaker, a telescoping antenna, and an easy-to-read black on white tuning area.

This Grundig may be more impressive as a clock than a radio. A panel folds out to reveal a large knob which lets the user select a major city. Cities include Denver, Istanbul, Moscow, and Sydney, among others. A digital clock shows both current "Home" and "World" times.

The Traveller II looks to be a good portable radio for listening to major international broadcasters and keeping track of current times around the world.
