The 960 is an antique-styled shortwave receiver which also covers the AM and FM bands. It is easy to use, with pushbutton band selection and analog volume/tuning knobs on the front panel.

According to a Grundig ad in the 2000 "Passport to World Band Radio", the C960 covers most of the short wave band (2,300 kHz through 22,300 kHz) and features three built-in speakers. It weighs almost ten pounds, with a wooden exterior. The receiver can also be used as a speaker system for other audio devices like tape decks.

This Grundig product makes it possible to enjoy the style, sound quality, and simplicity of a 60-year-old radio without having to find and purchase a functioning receiver from that time period.
