The GPX A350 and A303 Deluxe portable radios tune five bands; FM, AM, TV1/TV2 (analog TV sound on channels 2-13), and Weather (NOAA forecasts, temperatures, warnings, etc). Both of these GPX receivers are mostly black and have vertical tuning scales.
Both also have a rectangular shape. There are some minor differences between the GPX A303 and A350. The 303 has a carrying strap, whereas the 350 has a handle. The design, controls, and styling of these two radios are somewhat different as well. The 350 appears newer.
Due to digital television, the A303 and A350 can no longer pick up TV sound in most parts of the U.S. However, they will continue to tune TV broadcasts in countries which still use analog TV, and where low-power local U.S. stations have been granted analog broadcasting extensions.
Both models were sold in transparent sealed plastic containers. The GPX A350 Deluxe portable could be found in the electronics section at the now-defunct Ames department store chain, during the late 1990s. Used units still turn up now and then.
