The Good Choice GC-PS-6(450)F-B / 1102050 is a black six-outlet surge protector power strip with 450 joules of protection against surges. It cost six dollars at a Family Dollar store.

This unit features a thick two and a half foot power cord, an indicator light, and sliding covers to block the upper two holes of each outlet. These covers keep dust out and improve child safety.

If you have one AC adapter to plug in, it can be placed at the end and won't block any other outlets. However, using two or more such adapters will cover up some outlets they are not using.

The surge protector costs little or no more than many basic power strips that offer no protection against power surges. It also carries a "Good Housekeeping" label and includes a one-year manufacturer's warranty.

As of the writing of this review, the 1102050 has only been used a few times. So far it has worked properly with a computer and monitor connected; updates will be posted if changes occur.
