A universal AC adapter, the Gemini AS499 offers many voltage settings, a polarity switch, several different wire connections, and even a 9V battery connector - something most universal adaptors lack.
The voltage levels include 12, 9, 7.5, 6, 4.5, 3, and 1.5 V. The Gemini AS499 provides power for devices that use up to 300 milliamps (mA). Many small electronics can be powered with it, but not more demanding things (like 5" CRT television sets).
So far, this Chinese-made adaptor has performed reliably during about four years of occasional use. It is easy to set up and use. Compared to some adapters, the AS499 is small and light. The 9-volt battery connector is good for powering some pocket radios.
